Denpasar is the capital-city of Bali Province , Denpasar has got some fascination for tourism such as : remain of ancient building with Balinese architecture. SANUR
Sanur is a place of remarkable contrasts. This modern and prosperous community is home to many high class hotels and restaurant. It was also the landing point for the Dutch forces in 1906 on their way to destroy the royal house of Pamecutan in Denpasar. Sanur beach has long been a popular recreation site for people from Denpasar. The palm – lined beach curves from The Grand Bali Beach Hotel toward the south, facing the Indian Ocean towards the east. Sanur offers many good hotels, restaurant, shop and other tourist facilities. It is only a short distance from Denpasar. Public transportation to and from the city are easily available until well into the night. Offshore reefs protect the beach against the waves to make it popular for wind surfing, boating and other water sports.
BATUBULAN
Batubulan is a must see when arriving to Bali . Batubulan is a town where you will find stone carvings everywhere. Some of the carvings are made out of cement, while others are made from river rocks, but all are impressive to view. While viewing these stone carvings take your time and enjoy the natural and man made beauty of Bali . Taking a stroll along the streets is not only a fun and healthy way to spend your day, but it will also allow you to get to know the true Bali , and its people. People from all over the world come to Batubulan to explore the architectural beauty that is placed around the town for many to see and admire.
CELUK
Balinese jewelry is unique, and Celuk is the home of much of it. Nearly every family in Celuk is involved in some aspects of the delicate gold and silver work, which has become very famous over the years.
BATUAN
There is Batuan style, from the artist village of Batuan , which generally have darker type of images compared to Ubud paintings. The quality and charm of this Batuan painting style is well recognized
MAS
The village of Mas near Ubud is probably the best known for its carvings of female figures, Buddhas, characters from Hindu epics and the traditional Topeng and Wayang Wong masks.Wood carving, like stone carving, has traditionally featured largely in temple and palace architecture with little freestanding 'sculpture' work produced commercially. Immaculately carved demons and mythical beings decorate pillars, door panels, lintels and window shutters with the aim of protecting the buildings from evil intruders. Scenes of legendary figures placed within floral decor set a more pleasant and educational tone.
UBUD
The Ubud area is around two- to three hundred meters above sea level and surrounded by rice fields, which makes it noticeably cooler than then other tourist destinations in Bali . Neighbouring villages are well known for unique bamboo crafts and furniture, wood- and stone carving and many other crafts.
Ubud is popular in part today because it is the best place in Bali to break out of the tourist mode and get off the beaten path, although far from undiscovered. Hotels are plentiful; home stays and Indonesian guesthouses (losmen) are easily available to the foreign tourist. Many tourists simply base their entire stay in the city and travel to other destinations from Ubud.
KINTAMANI
Kintamani is one of the prime tourism destinations in Bali . Kintamani is located about one and half hours drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport . With its Batur Mount, Abang Mount, Lake Batur, Penelokan Sightseeing, Jati Temple, and Batur Temple, this mountain area is really beautiful, exotic, romantic, tranquility and ... religious ! As a part of Bangli Regency, Kintamani has two main tourism area. They are Penelokan sightseeing and Toyabungkah. Some water sports activities could be done in Kintamani area such as Climbing and trekking may be other alternatives of yours.
TAMPAKSIRING
The holy spring which bubbles up in the inner courtyard of the Tirta Empul Temple in Tampaksiring is believed to have magic curative powers, and throngs of people visit the special bathing pools where clear cool water spouts from mossy walls. Legend has it that the God Indra created the spring, piercing the ground in search of holy water.
GOA GAJAH
Goa Gajah (the Elephant Cave ), is located in a steep valley just outside of Ubud near the town of Bedulu . Built at least 700 years ago, the cave was rediscovered in the 1920s and fully excavated 30 years later.
TANAH LOT
Tanah Lot is located about 12 kilometers from Tabanan City and 20 kilometers from Denpasar. The area comprises a wondrous mixture of natural beauty and sheer human effort. Here lies an idyllic white sand beach with crashing waves, complemented by a small yet majestic temple. This temple, known as Pura Tanah Lot, juts out to sea on a rocky background. Tanah Lot attracts throngs of both locals and tourists daily. Most come here longing to catch a glimpse of the romantic Tanah Lot sunsets--a regular occurrence during the dry season.
MENGWI
Mengwi is famous for the unique Pura Taman Ayun state temple, which was the most important temple in the Mengwi kingdom before Mengwi was conquered by the neighbouring Badung and Tabanan in 1891. Mengwi was at that time a large kingdom stretching all the way to East Java . Taman Ayun was built in 1634 by King I Gusti Agung Anom and restored in 1937. The temple consist of an "island" surrounded by water channels and a garden complex, the complex of buildings are made up of about 50 different structures.
BEDUGUL
Bedugul is the name of both a small city and a mountain-lake resort area, which Balinese have long used for weekend retreats.
When the heat and humidity finally gets to you, the place to escape to is Bedugul, Bali 's highland retreat, tucked into the crater of an extinct volcano, 1400 meters above sea level.
The mountain resort of Bedugul, 18 Km north of Denpasar, is known for excellent golf course. Located besides Lake Bratan , it is surrounded forested hills. A beautiful sight is the “Ulun Danu” temple which sems to out of the lake. The area offers good walks. Boats are available for was skiing and parasailing. Is done as well.
SINGARAJA & LOVINA
Singaraja _Bali'chiep port in Ducth colonial times,this town received many influence from the foreign trades.Singaraja has number of Chinese Temples and colonial buldings.
Singaraja is the old colonial capital of Bali . It is the capital city of the regency of Buleleng. It is quite simply - cool. Figuratively and literally.
The Singaraja area is the home of Lovina Beach , of the well-known, but as the new tourist literature proclaims, hidden treasures of Bali .
Lovina Beach is actually a collection of villages that are lumped together under the general name of Lovina which actually is a village. Other villages in the Lovina area include Kalibukbuk, Anturan, and Tukadmungga.
Gitgit Waterfall
11 km south of Singaraja.An impressive waterfall cascades into small lagoon in a plantation of coffee and clove tree.
BANGLI
This is the only county in Bali without beaches. Geographically, Bangli is home to the mountain lakes and water sources that make Bali so fertile. Numerous villages are scattered across a landscape of rice terraces, lush valleys and forests. This mountainous region is a strikingly different site of Bali Aga traditional communities.
You can find on the northeastern side of the town, a temple that has survived without any reconstruction.
the state temple of the Bali Kingdom , Pura Kehen occupies the site of an earlier temple, which dates back to the 9th Century. It owes much of its appeal to its unique ambience, set majestically on a number of level against the background of a hill forest, large trees shade the shrines and gates of its courtyards.
KLUNGKUNG
Bali 's smallest district Klungkung is located between Gianyar and Karangasem, and includes the island of Nusa Penida , Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan. Klungkung itself is a bustling town. On reaching the town centre, you come to Kertha Gosa, the Hall of Justice. Surrounded by a moat, this is a superb example of Klungkung architecture, best known for its ceiling paintings in the Klungkung style.
Adjoining Kertha Gosa is the palace, with its beautiful Bale Kambang (or Floating Pavilion). It also has exquisitely painted ceilings telling stories of the sacrifice of the hero Sutasoma and of Pan and Men Brayut- the couple who had too many children..
BESAKIH
Besakih is a town located part-way up the side of Mount Agung , the tallest volcano in Bali . What makes Besakih so special, and so awesome, is the Pura Besakih, the Mother Temple which is actually a multi-level compound where eight districts of Bali have their 'representative' temple. On Hindu holidays the temple will be flooded by people who bring their offerings. On most other days, the temple is flooded by tourists hoping to enjoy a clear view of the mountain. Be forewarned, though, tackling the Pura requires that you are in excellent physical condition -- there's a lot of climbing involved ... and a lot of walking. The parking area is at the bottom of a steady climbing road, with about a five hundred meter walk to the base of the temple.
TIRTA GANGGA
Tirtagangga royal watergardens are composed mainly by water, gardens and sculptures. It is situated in the middle of rice fields around the natural springs of Rejasa, approximately 7 km. (5 miles) north of Amlapura, the main town of east Bali , Indonesia . Tirtagangga is a well known cultural object of Bali . It belongs to the royal family of Karangasem.
TULAMBEN
To the north east of Amed lies Tulamben whose claim to fame is the wreck of the USS Liberty, torpedoed off Lombok in WWII and towed to its present site for salvage. Unfortunately the 1963 Mt Agung eruption broke and scattered the hulk but it's a great snorkeling and diving spot just 30m from the beach and is home to literally hundreds of species of fish.
